IAN BOAKE

PRINCIPAL

MANAGING DIRECTOR, GTA

Ian Boake has been directly involved in Commercial Real Estate for over 30 years as a Real Estate Broker, Investor, Developer and Real Estate Services Provider. Ian has worked with local and international real estate services providers, developers, private and public real estate companies and with one of Canada's largest pension funds.

Prior to joining BridgePort, Ian was the Broker of Record for Jones Lang Lasalle Real Estate Services Ontario from 2005-2012. Ian led the Capital Markets group in the GTA and also was instrumental in providing development and pre-leasing services to enable the successful completion of four office developments in the GTA totaling over 750,000 SF of LEED Gold designated office buildings.

During his tenure at Oxford Properties, from 1999-2005, Ian was SVP of Office Leasing for Eastern Canada, providing leadership, strategic leasing and creative deal making while leading  a property and leasing team coordinating a portfolio of over 22 million square feet of office space in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.

​

As a Partner of Enterprise Property Group from 1993-1998, Ian and the Partners grew a property management and leasing portfolio that had grew from 15M SF in Ontario to a National Portfolio of some 55M SF prior to the sale and merger with O&Y Properties in 1998. The new entity, O&Y Enterprise, grew to be one of Canada's largest property management and leasing companies until its sale to Brookfield in 2002.

Ian began his career in commercial real estate with JJ Barnicke Ltd (now DTZ) in 1979. Ian spent 14 years at DTZ in office leasing and commercial sales as one of the firm`s top producing agents.​
